Ways To Help

For a child with a life-threatening medical condition, a wish experience can give back what the illness takes away. It can help children forget about being sick, remember how to be kids, laugh out loud, and inspire them to keep making plans for the future.

Contribute money, goods or services, individually or through your company, school or organization.  Individual contributions, corporate support, foundation grants and special events fund the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Sacramento and Northeastern California.

The Foundation accepts the donation of securities, frequent flier miles, automobiles or real estate and deferred gifts such as bequests, life insurance and charitable trusts. In-kind contributions of goods and services are also important.

All funds raised are used to fulfill the Make-A-Wish® mission to grant wishes to children in Sacramento and Northeastern California with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Make-A-Wish Foundation does not engage in either telephone or door-to-door solicitations.

Volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to help. We invite you to share the power of a wish® whether you can give a few hours each month or a few days each year.

You can help make the wishes of special children come true in your local community when you become a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sacramento and Northeastern California. Our mission is only possible with the dedication of our volunteers.

Our “Wish” List:

We maintain a “wish closet” of new items for our wish children, which helps us keep our costs down.  Items of greatest need are a variety of gift cards that can be used to directly reduce the cost of the wishes we grant. All items must be new and unopened.
