Fountains at Roseville is inviting the community to get creative by decorating a special kite and competing in a fun, family kite flying competition. 
Every Tuesday and Saturday from March 15 through April 16, the community is invited to visit Fountains at Roseville and create their kite. Fountains’ official judging and kite flying party for the whole family will be on April 23, the day before Easter. Each kite costs $2 and 100% goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sacramento & Northeastern CA, whose mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

fountains.jpgSaturday, April 23- Contest Day! Kites will be judged  from 11 A.M. to Noon and then participants can enjoy flying their kites from Noon- 2 P.M. Kites will be judged in many categories including “Best Decorated”, “Most Aerodynamic” and “Best Participation by a Group” so groups should be sure to wear their school t-shirts, scout uniforms, etc.
Gift card prizes will be awarded in several categories. The school, community group or non-profit with the most participation/attendance on April 23 will receive a donation of $500 from Fountains at Roseville. Best Decorated” and “Most Aerodynamic” will be awarded to individuals in Elementary, Junior/Middle, High School and Service Group divisions. Fountains Gift cards will be awarded in the following denominations: First Place-$75, Second Place -$50, Third Place-$25.

To participate in the Kite Flying Event on April 23, all participants in contest must sign a hold harmless agreement and agree to abide by the rules stipulated day of contest. If participant is under 18, parent or guardian must sign a release on behalf of participant and parent/guardian must be on site with child during event.
